Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aaron Work!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gantulga Ganerdene!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Work misses with a leg kick

and Ganerdene moves into the clinch.
Work is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Ganerdene slows down the pace here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ganerdene taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on Ganerdene's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gantulga Ganerdene.

Ganerdene closes the distance and clinches.

Ganerdene's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Work throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ganerdene goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Ganerdene instigates a clinch.
Work tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A bit of stalling here from Ganerdene.
Ganerdene has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Ganerdene stalls.
Work is trying to pull guard but Ganerdene turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Work is breathing heavily.
Ganerdene displaying some good clinch control by pressing Work up against the cage.
Work letting Ganerdene take a breather here.
Ganerdene is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gantulga Ganerdene.

Work has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ganerdene takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Work tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ganerdene just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ganerdene has Work pressed against the cage, preventing Work from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Work is looking to control Ganerdene's arms but Ganerdene gets an underhook and turns him. Now Work has his back to the cage.
Ganerdene will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Work up against the cage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ganerdene prevents the takedown attempt.
Ganerdene effectively controlling the action here.
Ganerdene is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Ganerdene breaks the clinch.
Work shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ganerdene as he avoids it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Work throws a series of punches but Ganerdene avoids them all with ease.
Work looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Work moves out of range as Ganerdene strikes.
We've been informed that Ganerdene has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Work gets tackled into the cage by Ganerdene. Ganerdene maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ganerdene moves into the clinch.
Work tries to pull guard but Ganerdene won't allow it.
Work is looking to break free of the clinch but Ganerdene has double underhooks.
Ganerdene dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Work tries to pull guard but Ganerdene forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Work drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ganerdene gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Work jumps guard but Ganerdene turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Ganerdene escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ganerdene throws a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ganerdene. Work does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ganerdene darts in and clinches Work up against the cage.

Work ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Work no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ganerdene tries to free his leg and advance position but Work is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ganerdene trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ganerdene is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Work has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ganerdene is looking to defend but Work has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ganerdene! Work pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ganerdene taps out and this one is all over!
