Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Mcdermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcdermott comes into the arena with Broken Wings blaring out of the sound system. Price is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black Label Society - Bleed for Me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Mcdermott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Price! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdermott shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Mcdermott takes a body punch but keeps moving. Price throws a hook but Mcdermott blocks it. A nice leg kick lands there from Price. Dan Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcdermott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Price wants to control but Mcdermott postures up. Mcdermott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Price has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcdermott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Price is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mcdermott's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Price wants to sweep but no luck. Mcdermott looking to pass the guard. Mcdermott is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Boston MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Mcdermott thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Price is pulling down on Mcdermott's head to control his posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott staying out of range there. Mcdermott half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Mcdermott tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Price swivels and escapes. It seemed like Price was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Price swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mcdermott swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A head kick by Price misses and Mcdermott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Price won't be happy with that. Price is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mcdermott connects with a decent elbow. Price tries to bench press Mcdermott off him but Mcdermott keeps the position. Mcdermott goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Price has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mcdermott but great work by Price. Price in side control, just content to control the action for now. Mcdermott tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott is trying to work for a sweep but Price has mounted him! Price looking to control but Mcdermott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mcdermott is looking to get to half guard. Price trying to control but Mcdermott is having none of it. Price tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Price prevents Mcdermott from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Price dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Price scores with a sloppy right hand. Mcdermott should have avoided that one. Price misses the jab. Price swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcdermott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Price. Price throws a leg kick which misses Mcdermott's front leg but catches the back leg as Mcdermott tries to avoid it. Price throws an overhand right that lands on Mcdermott's shoulder, as Mcdermott tries to avoid the shot. Nice takedown defense from Price. No joy for Mcdermott on that attempt. Mcdermott shoots in for a takedown but Price shows good takedown defense. Mcdermott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Price. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mcdermott is able to avoid easily. Price wants to slow Mcdermott down by chopping away at his legs. Mcdermott feinted with a counter takedown. Price misses with an uppercut. Mcdermott shoots for a double leg takedown but Price sprawls well. He's pushed Mcdermott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Mcdermott. That's going to take a lot out of him. Price jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mcdermott half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dan Price seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mcdermott has a takedown stuffed. Price has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mcdermott blocks a head kick by Price.

Price is trying to defend but Mcdermott finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Price trying to control but Mcdermott postures up.
Price is looking for a sweep. Mcdermott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Price is trying to maintain the position but Mcdermott is very close to passing his half guard. Mcdermott is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Price sees it coming and defends easily. Mcdermott seems to be working for a kimura but Price defends the submission attempt. Mcdermott seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price controlling the position for now. Price moves into full guard.
Mcdermott is looking to work some ground and pound but Price has wrist control. Price lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Mcdermott is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Price defends well. Price got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcdermott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Price has managed to get both his arms back between Mcdermott's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Price sitting in guard, not really doing much. Price slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Mcdermott. Price is looking to advance position but Mcdermott won't allow it. Mcdermott is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mcdermott is looking to control Price's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcdermott avoid being mounted? Price blocks the strikes from Mcdermott.

Mcdermott is trying to keep his angry face on. Mcdermott dives in for a single leg takedown but Price sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Price fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price throws a shot from downtown. Mcdermott moves away and avoids it. Price gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mcdermott walks into a jab. Mcdermott shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Price pinned against the cage. Price gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Price fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcdermott manages to avoid it. Mcdermott feinted with a counter takedown. Price throws a combination. Mcdermott is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mcdermott ducks under a wild hook from Price. Oh Mcdermott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcdermott takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Price looks for the body kick but Mcdermott saw that one coming. Price lands a glancing blow to the side of Mcdermott's head. Price defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mcdermott. Mcdermott seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters circling - Price throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Price looks to score with a jab to the body but Mcdermott is just out of range. A chopping leg kick lands by Price. Price clinches up with Mcdermott and pushes him back against the cage. Mcdermott has clasped his hands together around Price's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Mcdermott in the domination position with Price hanging on.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Price comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Price winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
