Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nebojša Brynjar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause has chosen Heart of a Champion as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nebojša Brynjar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Krause! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brynjar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Krause stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A shot to the body from Krause misses enabling Brynjar to counter with a crisp jab. Brynjar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Brynjar has closed the distance and engaged Krause in a clinch.
Brynjar scores with a shoulder strike. Krause tries to pull guard but Brynjar holds him up against the cage and eventually Krause drops back down to his feet.
Brynjar scores with a nice hook to the head. Brynjar pushes Krause back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Krause jumps guard but Brynjar turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Brynjar lands a shot to the body. Brynjar lands on the inside with an uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brynjar gets through Krause's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Brynjar lands a nice uppercut. Brynjar working some nice short punches in the clinch. Krause is trying to pull guard but Brynjar turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Nebojša Brynjar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Krause. Brynjar lands a right hand. Krause tries to pull guard but Brynjar forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Brynjar lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Brynjar slowing the pace effectively. Brynjar works on Krause's body with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brynjar lands with a short head shot on the inside. Brynjar lands a right hand. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Krause has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Krause tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brynjar smiles and moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brynjar. Krause does a little dance to reset his feet. Krause changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Krause tries for a takedown but Brynjar circles away easily and Brynjar counters with a stiff right hand. Krause misses with a takedown and Brynjar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Krause gets a double leg takedown into Brynjar's guard. Brynjar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Krause wants to pass the guard but Brynjar is keeping the position. Brynjar being controlled here, momentarily. Krause drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brynjar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Krause has Brynjar in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brynjar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Krause escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brynjar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Krause working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Brynjar has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brynjar is taking a breather. Krause says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Krause actively working from the bottom here. Brynjar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krause on the ground. Krause gets back to full guard.
Krause working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Brynjar has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brynjar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Krause wants to control but Brynjar is keeping busy and won't allow it. Brynjar is controlling the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Krause with a poor takedown and Brynjar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Krause throws a head kick but Brynjar moves out of range.
Brynjar scores with a punch to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nebojša Brynjar dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Brynjar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Krause. Krause shoots and misses and Brynjar counters with a straight right hand. Krause shoots and misses and Brynjar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nebojša Brynjar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Krause. Brynjar leaves Krause with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Krause throws a sloppy head kick and Brynjar moves out of range easily. A little feinted left hand from Brynjar on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Brynjar with a jab. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Brynjar here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. The crowd cheers as Brynjar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Krause doesn't seem phased though. Brynjar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Krause, pushing him back against the cage. Nebojša Brynjar has scored more points in the clinch so far. Brynjar lands with a left to the head. Brynjar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A short left from Brynjar. This has been an exciting period of action! Brynjar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short uppercut from Brynjar.
Krause is rocked! Brynjar misses with a punch on the inside.
Brynjar lands a hook to the side of the head. Krause is still on wobbly legs! Can Brynjar finish him? Krause blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brynjar throws a punch but it's blocked by Krause. A head punch on the inside from Brynjar fails to land. Brynjar misses with a hook from the clinch. Krause seems to have recovered his senses. Brynjar lands a left hand.
Brynjar pushes Krause against the cage. Brynjar is working some dirty boxing. Brynjar pushes off with a quick right hook! Krause goes down! Krause tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Brynjar moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nebojša Brynjar! Nebojša Brynjar retains his lightweight title! A very excited looking Nebojša Brynjar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
