Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Seyedi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seyedi has chosen Hypnotize- Biggie smalls as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ali Seyedi enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Meyers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Seyedi!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyers looks for a takedown but Seyedi sprawls well.
Seyedi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
An inside leg kick from Seyedi misses.
Meyers gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Charlie Meyers has been cut.
Seyedi jabs at Meyers's body.
Seyedi feints and then cracks Meyers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Meyers down.
Seyedi swats away the attempt to clinch by Meyers.
Meyers moves forwards but Seyedi connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seyedi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seyedi wants it to stay on the feet.

Meyers darts in and clinches Seyedi up against the cage.

Seyedi parries the strikes from Meyers easily there. Meyers is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Seyedi to escape.

Meyers is trying to get an arm triangle but Seyedi is defending well.

Meyers goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Seyedi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Meyers but great work by Seyedi.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Meyers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seyedi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Seyedi throws out a loose jab but Meyers uses good head movement to avoid it.

A little feinted left hand from Meyers on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Meyers takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Good work by Meyers as he checks the leg kick.

and Meyers counters with a nice low kick that buckles Seyedi's knee momentarily.
Seyedi throws a low kick but Meyers avoids it.
Seyedi throws a low kick but Meyers moves out of range easily.

and Seyedi counters by clinching up.

Meyers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Seyedi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Meyers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Seyedi is fending him off so far but Meyers persists. Nope, Seyedi circles away and we're back to standing.
Seyedi raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Meyers avoids the head kick by Seyedi.

and Meyers counters with a straight right hand.
Meyers misses with a takedown
and Seyedi counters with a good low kick that Meyers was not able to check.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Meyers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Meyers swings around for an armbar but Seyedi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Meyers's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Meyers takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Oh Meyers is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Meyers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Seyedi throws out the jab.

Seyedi sends Meyers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Seyedi is motioning to the referee to let Meyers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Seyedi throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Meyers crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ali Seyedi!
An out of breath Ali Seyedi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
