The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as King throws out the jab.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wayne moves away.

King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wayne to the mat! Wayne manages to get full guard.
Wayne utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Wayne is pulling down on King's head. It's preventing any offense from King, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from King's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

and King counters with a three punch combo that has Wayne backing up. Wayne nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.
