Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Knife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jim Knife enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Knife! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knife bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Gunn! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Gunn is rocked!
It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut. Gunn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Oh Gunn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Knife trying to control but Gunn is working from the bottom. Gunn seems to have got his legs back now. Knife wants to pass the guard but Gunn is keeping the position. Knife trying to control but Gunn is working from the bottom. Gunn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gunn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Knife wants to control but Gunn is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Knife sees it coming and defends easily. Gunn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knife is just riding it out for now. Gunn eventually gives up the hold. Knife is positioning himself well to prevent Gunn advancing to mount. Knife slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Knife keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Knife looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Knife is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Gunn stopping the sweep attempt from Knife. Gunn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gunn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Knife looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Knife looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Knife! Knife advances to mount. Knife controlling from mount. Gunn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jim Knife just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Knife drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knife on the ground. Gunn is breathing heavily. Knife slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Knife wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gunn, who protects the arm well. Gunn is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gunn is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Knife scoring with punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Knife wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Knife wants to control but Gunn is keeping him busy. Knife has knee on belly and moves into mount. Gunn is squirming around, avoiding Knife's attempts to control the action. Gunn sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Knife is working for a kimura but Gunn is defending it quite comfortably.
Gunn is refusing to be controlled, as Knife sits in half guard. Knife passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gunn! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Knife dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tommy Gunn's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Knife looks to land a left hand but Gunn moved out of range nicely. Knife decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Knife wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gunn keeps working. Knife not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gunn is pressing down on Knife's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gunn can't keep his opponent in guard - Knife advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gunn moves into full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Knife prevents Gunn from getting the reversal. Knife controlling the pace for now. Very smooth. Gunn is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gunn is letting Knife control him for a moment. Gunn manages to get back to half guard. Knife is trying to work for a kimura but Gunn is defending well.

Jim Knife is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knife moves into full mount! Gunn won't be happy about that! Gunn is desperately trying to improve his position but Knife has a good base and remains in mount. Knife is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Knife!
