Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miroslav Dimcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michal Cerrone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miroslav Dimcic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimcic shoots in looking for a takedown. Cerrone tries to sprawl out of it but Dimcic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cerrone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cerrone throws a body punch but Dimcic moves out of range.
Dimcic thinks about countering with a body kick.

Dimcic moves into range and clinches up with Cerrone.

Dimcic pulls guard effortlessly.
Dimcic tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cerrone wants to stand and escape but instead Dimcic has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Dimcic controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cerrone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dimcic forces his way into half guard.
Cerrone pushes Dimcic off looking to stand but Dimcic dives back in and keeps control.
Dimcic seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cerrone is in trouble now - Dimcic has advanced to mount!
Cerrone holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Dimcic tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Dimcic looking to ground and pound but Cerrone is blocking nicely.
Cerrone's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Dimcic controlling from mount.
Dimcic throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dimcic can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cerrone is looking to escape.

Dimcic looking to secure an arm triangle but Cerrone defends it well.

Dimcic trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cerrone is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Cerrone is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Cerrone avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dimcic.

Dimcic looking to secure an arm triangle but Cerrone defends it well.
Cerrone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dimcic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dimcic is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Cerrone is trying to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cerrone is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dimcic.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Cerrone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cerrone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dimcic shoots in for a takedown but Cerrone shows good takedown defense.
Dimcic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cerrone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dimcic looks to land a combination. Cerrone sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Michal Cerrone has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dimcic goes for a double leg but Cerrone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cerrone continues to drive forward.

Cerrone throws a series of strikes that have Dimcic backpedaling.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dimcic doesn't manage to clinch there - Cerrone circles away.

Cerrone unleashes a big counter combination but Dimcic bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Cerrone looks to score with a jab to the body but Dimcic is just out of range.

Dimcic avoids the body shot from Cerrone.

Dimcic pushes Cerrone up against the cage in a clinch.
Dimcic is leaning against Cerrone and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Dimcic successfully pulls guard.
Dimcic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cerrone can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cerrone pushes Dimcic off but Dimcic dives into side control.

Dimcic misses with the ground and pound.
Dimcic sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cerrone is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Dimcic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Dimcic throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Dimcic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cerrone to his feet.
Dimcic wants to clinch up but Cerrone keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Cerrone as Dimcic shoots in.
Cerrone scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cerrone tries to bum rush Dimcic with a series of wild strikes but Dimcic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dimcic tries to counter by clinching up but Cerrone breaks away and moves out of range.
Dimcic shoots in and drives through. Cerrone sprawls well.
Miroslav Dimcic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cerrone closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dimcic works his way to full guard. Good work.
Dimcic wants to sweep here but Cerrone controlling him for the moment.

Dimcic manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Dimcic fails with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cerrone is defended easily by Dimcic.

Cerrone throws a big shot that misses.
Cerrone shoots in but Dimcic avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cerrone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dimcic to the mat! Dimcic manages to get full guard.
Cerrone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dimcic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cerrone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dimcic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cerrone tries to buck Dimcic off but he can't manage it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
