Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rashid Djumagaliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Arendt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rashid Djumagaliev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marc Arendt! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arendt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Djumagaliev keeps the fight on the outside. Djumagaliev moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Djumagaliev scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Arendt with a poor takedown and Djumagaliev counters with a left to the body. Djumagaliev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arendt tries to avoid it but Djumagaliev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arendt to the ground. Arendt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Djumagaliev circles away from the clinch attempt and Djumagaliev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Arendt thinking. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Djumagaliev looks for the body kick but Arendt saw that one coming. Arendt doesn't manage to clinch there - Djumagaliev circles away.
Djumagaliev fails with a takedown attempt. Arendt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Djumagaliev's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arendt trying to control but Djumagaliev is working from the bottom. Arendt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Djumagaliev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arendt has managed to get both his arms back between Djumagaliev's legs - danger averted. Arendt's corner is telling him to maintain position. Djumagaliev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Arendt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Djumagaliev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Djumagaliev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Djumagaliev! Arendt regains half guard there - taking advantage of Djumagaliev's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arendt pushes Djumagaliev off and gets back to his feet. Arendt tries to clinch up. Djumagaliev fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Arendt is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rashid Djumagaliev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Djumagaliev shoots in for a double leg but Arendt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Djumagaliev tries for a takedown but Arendt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Arendt wants to counter with a clinch but Djumagaliev pushes him away. Arendt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Djumagaliev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Djumagaliev tries to get out of the position. Djumagaliev is looking to control Arendt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Djumagaliev avoid being mounted? Arendt controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Djumagaliev is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Arendt with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Arendt passes to full mount! Djumagaliev wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arendt is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Djumagaliev won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Arendt off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marc Arendt!
