Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sioux Sie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele comes to the ring accompanied by Cinderella Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sioux Sie!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steele throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sie was covering up waiting for the punch and Steele finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Sie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steele defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sie is in close to Steele's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Sie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steele gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Steele keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sie's head.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Steele's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Steele is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Steele turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Steele manages to end up in side control.

Steele shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sie sprawls well. Sie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steele gets slowly back to his feet.

Sie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steele manages to avoid it.

Steele dives in and grabs Sie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sie pushes down on Steele's head and hops out.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Sie lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sie, as that shot connected.

enabling Sie to counter with a crisp jab.
Steele shoots in but no luck this time.
Sie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Steele.
Steele takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Steele gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sie.
Sie scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steele goes for a double leg but Sie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Sie continues to drive forward.

Steele shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sie's guard.

Sie is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Steele rolls with it to try and escape but Sie cranks on the arm and Steele is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

During a confident post fight interview, Sioux Sie thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
