PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David C. Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvin and Owen Thomas. Marvin comes to the cage accompanied by Superman Theme. Owen Thomas will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas closes the distance but Marvin moves to the side

and Marvin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marvin.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Thomas enables Marvin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Thomas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thomas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marvin is working away from the top position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marvin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
