Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Rambler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Gough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Rambler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joel Gough! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gough's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gough duly obliges. Gough throws a push kick but Rambler slaps the foot to one side. Rambler throws out a leg kick but Gough moves out of range and Rambler only half commits. Nice uppercut lands for Gough. That snapped Rambler's head back.
Jimmy Rambler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rambler feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rambler sitting in guard here, content to control. Gough keeping moving, preventing Rambler from controlling successfully. Rambler scoring with punches to the head and body. Gough working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rambler. Rambler working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rambler trying to control but Gough is working from the bottom. Rambler throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rambler looking to sit in guard and control but Gough gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rambler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rambler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rambler wants to sweep here but Gough controlling him for the moment. Gough wants to control from the top but Rambler keeps moving. Rambler wants to sweep here but Gough controlling him for the moment. Gough not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rambler throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Gough looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rambler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Rambler looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rambler trying to control but Gough is working from the bottom. Rambler controls from within his opponent's guard. Gough keeping full guard, as Rambler tries to pass. Rambler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Gough can't keep his opponent in guard - Rambler advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gough really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rambler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gough looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gough tries to get to full guard but Rambler has control of the leg. Rambler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rambler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rambler is keen to just control but Gough is a slippery customer. Rambler is pressing down on Gough's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gough is holding on for now. Rambler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rambler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gough has managed to free his arm - good work. Rambler is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Rambler dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rambler. A looping hook to the body misses from Rambler. Gough does a little dance to reset his feet. Gough is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Gough fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rambler avoids it really well and circles away. Rambler slaps away a takedown attempt from Gough, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rambler clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gough avoids the elbow strike from Rambler, against the cage.
Rambler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gough can do to turn this around? Rambler prevents Gough from breaking the clinch. Rambler throws a knee to the head but misses.
Gough fails to pull guard.
Jimmy Rambler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Gough. Rambler misses with the head strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rambler tries to score a body lock takedown but Gough shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rambler is looking to control Gough's arms but Gough gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rambler has his back to the cage. Rambler is looking for a takedown. Gough gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rambler.
Gough wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rambler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gough has had enough of the clinch but Rambler keeps him there for the moment. Gough should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gough avoiding damage as Rambler throws knees to the body.
Rambler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gough gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rambler decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gough's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gough is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rambler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gough is looking to regain half guard here but Rambler keeps moving and retains side control. Rambler is working Gough over with some ground and pound from side control. Rambler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gough knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gough is not content to let Rambler control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rambler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gough stops Rambler from passing to mount. Rambler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gough, who protects the arm well. Gough is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rambler in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Gough is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
