Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bam Bam Rumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lei Quan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam Bam Rumble has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bam Bam Rumble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lei Quan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rumble pinned against the cage. Rumble gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Quan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rumble ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
No joy there for Quan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Quan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Quan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Quan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice sprawl there from Rumble as Quan shoots in.
Bam Bam Rumble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lei Quan.
Quan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rumble tries to avoid it but Quan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rumble to the ground. Rumble escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rumble fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rumble holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Quan tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Poor strikes thrown by Quan there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Quan looking for a guillotine from mount but Rumble is having none of it.

Rumble knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quan on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Quan tries to control but Rumble wriggling away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That was a close round but I would say that Bam Bam Rumble will probably get the nod.

Bam Bam Rumble is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bam Bam Rumble.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rumble, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
