Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Wilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virtanen has chosen Maamme Laulu as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Wilt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Keijo Virtanen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilt wants to clinch up but Virtanen keeps it at a distance.

Virtanen looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Virtanen wants to control from the top but Wilt keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilt pulls Virtanen in close to his closed guard and prevents Virtanen from doing any damage or advancing position.
Wilt wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Virtanen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wilt trying to keep a closed guard but Virtanen is proving a slippery customer.
Virtanen passes into half guard.
Wilt controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Virtanen wants to pass the guard but Wilt is defending well.
Wilt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Virtanen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wilt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Wilt is trying to control but can't.
Wilt trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Virtanen manages to pass to mount!
Wilt reaches up to try and control the position but Virtanen seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wilt rolls and tries to escape and now Virtanen has his back!

Wilt defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Virtanen's arms.
Wilt is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wilt rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Wilt tries to get to full guard but Virtanen has control of the leg.
Wilt trying to control here.
Wilt is refusing to be controlled, as Virtanen sits in half guard.

Virtanen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Wilt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wilt.
Wilt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wilt controlling Virtanen's posture.
Wilt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Virtanen's guard.

Wilt wants to pass the guard but Virtanen is keeping the position.

Virtanen looking for a guillotine here but Wilt defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wilt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Virtanen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wilt, into his guard.

Wilt looking to control.
Wilt has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wilt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Virtanen has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keijo Virtanen dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wilt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wilt enables Virtanen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wilt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wilt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilt is on top in guard.

Wilt trying to control but Virtanen is working from the bottom.
Wilt scoring with some ground and pound.
We've been informed that Virtanen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilt stands and throws Virtanen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Virtanen tries to bench press Wilt off him but Wilt keeps the position.

Wilt tries to advance to mount but can't.
Virtanen is looking for a sweep.
Virtanen is not content to let Wilt control the position.
Wilt working away.

Wilt is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Virtanen is trying to escape and Wilt transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Virtanen is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wilt! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Christopher Wilt!
