Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andaman Maya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Razval Saraev! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saraev has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maya tries for a takedown. No joy.
Maya is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Saraev. Saraev has Maya pushed against the cage. Maya blocking some punches.
A head punch on the inside from Maya fails to land. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Maya looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andaman Maya. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saraev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Maya shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Maya showed some decent athleticism there. Saraev has his hands clasped together around Maya's back. He's all about the action. Saraev trying to hold on to Maya's head to control him but Maya postures up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saraev can do anything to dispel that myth. Maya is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Saraev has managed to free his arm - good work. Maya content to control rather than advance.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Maya misses with a takedown attempt - Saraev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Maya fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saraev avoids it really well and circles away. Maya tries to sprawl but Saraev drives through with a takedown into half guard. Maya looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Saraev is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Maya works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maya trying to advance position but Saraev counters by regaining guard. Saraev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saraev is stalling in the full guard. Maya pulls Saraev in close to prevent any damage. Saraev trying to control but Maya is working from the bottom. Saraev engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Saraev is pushing down on Maya's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maya is fighting to maintain full guard but Saraev has managed to sneak the leg through. Saraev is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Saraev in particular looking to stall. Saraev prevents Maya from improving his position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Well, if Saraev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maya drops down looking for an ankle pick but Saraev pulls his leg out and moves away.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Saraev. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Maya tries to get to full guard but Saraev has control of the leg.

Saraev dives in for a single leg takedown but Maya sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Andaman Maya has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Razval Saraev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The fight moves into the clinch position. Maya is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Saraev is defending well for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Razval Saraev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Saraev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
