Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Granger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Granger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jiu-Jitsu . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Granger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rocco Falcone! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falcone misses with an uppercut. Granger attempts a counter takedown but Falcone avoids it well and moves away. Falcone throws a right hand that misses
and Granger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Falcone is looking to stand back up but Granger counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Falcone. Granger trying to mount his opponent but Falcone defends it. Granger performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Granger is looking to advance position but Falcone won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Granger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Falcone keeps working. Falcone is defending against the submission attempts here by Granger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falcone moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Falcone controlling the position. Granger trying to control but Falcone is working from the bottom. Falcone wants to sweep but no luck. Granger looking to pass the guard. Falcone keeping moving, preventing Granger from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Granger drops back looking for a leg! Falcone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Falcone manages to kick Granger off! Granger jumps back into Falcone's guard. Falcone is trying to control the position but Granger postures up. Granger showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Falcone lands a jab to Granger's midsection. Good leg kick by Falcone there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Falcone looks to score with a jab to the body but Granger is just out of range. Granger appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A decent looking cross lands there for Falcone. Granger avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Falcone pivots, looking for a leg kick but Granger is out of range and Falcone settles back down. A shot to the body from Falcone misses and Granger counters with a single leg into guard. Falcone didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Falcone trying to keep a closed guard but Granger is proving a slippery customer.
Granger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Granger won't allow Falcone to sweep him here. Granger lying in Falcone's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Falcone decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Granger taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
