Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tamati Ngata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Maulovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ngata kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Maori Haka. On his way into the cage it seems that Tamati Ngata has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tamati Ngata seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maulovski rushes Ngata and presses him up against the cage.
Maulovski tries to throw a body punch but Ngata avoids it by throwing Maulovski back against the cage.
Ngata drops down looking for an ankle pick but Maulovski pulls his leg out and moves away.
Maulovski moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Maulovski throws a good cross that connects.
Maulovski closes the distance and pushes Ngata back into the cage.
Ngata is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Maulovski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Yuri Maulovski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Maulovski has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Maulovski clinches up with Ngata and pushes him back against the cage.
Ngata has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Maulovski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Oh Ngata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Maulovski swings wildly with an uppercut but Ngata uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ngata blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ngata tries to circle away but Maulovski has him pinned against the cage.
Ngata seems to have got his legs back now.
Maulovski softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Maulovski creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ngata with a big uppercut! Ngata tries to clinch up but Maulovski pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ngata to the mat! Ngata covers up and Maulovski unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yuri Maulovski!
After the fight, Yuri Maulovski was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
