The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Robert Joyner has been cut.
Diaz looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Diaz backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Joyner's temple! It sends Joyner violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Diaz celebrates and the doctors try to help Joyner!

In his post fight interview, James Diaz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
