The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qiang swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Taka.
Qiang scores with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from Taka.
It seemed like Qiang was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Taka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Qiang scores with a jab to the body.
Qiang stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Qiang fails to land with a series of punches.
Taka is looking to counter punch.
Qiang scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Qiang swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Taka throws a body shot but no joy.
Taka misses with a looping left.
Qiang misses with a series of wild punches.
Qiang uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Taka.
Taka gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Qiang.
Qiang walks into a jab.

Taka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Qiang misses with a few strikes there.
Qiang's coach down at The Hut - $50 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Qiang's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Qiang throws a right and a left that both miss.
Qiang ducks under a wild hook from Taka.
Qiang looks to score with a jab to the body but Taka is just out of range.
Qiang connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Taka takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Qiang thuds his right hand into Taka's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Taka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Taka lands an overhand right.

It looks like Wang Qiang has been cut.
Taka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Qiang.
A slow jab from Taka misses its intended target.
A combination from Taka does no damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Qiang moves forwards but Taka connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Taka sends Qiang crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Taka is motioning to the referee to let Qiang up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Qiang walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Taka! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
