Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyro Maia Teraska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Winner Four! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Four gets a powerful takedown and that's hurt Maia Teraska.
Maia Teraska is rocked! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Oh Maia Teraska is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Maia Teraska could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Maia Teraska tries to get back to half guard but can't. Maia Teraska seems to have got his legs back now. Maia Teraska manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Four trying to control the pace. Maia Teraska tries to kick Four off but Four keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Maia Teraska might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Four trying to control the pace. Maia Teraska pushes Four off looking to stand but Four dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four controlling the action here. Four really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maia Teraska. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Let's hope that Four has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Maia Teraska is looking for a sweep. Four is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Four shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Four was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Maia Teraska is breathing heavily. Four content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Four's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Four.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Four working away. Maia Teraska is looking to reverse the position. Four is staying tight to Maia Teraska's torso, preventing him from escaping. It looks like Four might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Four closes the distance looking for a takedown. Maia Teraska stuffs it but Four still has hold of him. Four picks Maia Teraska up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Four slams Maia Teraska to the floor and that's really hurt Maia Teraska - he doesn't know where he is! Four throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
