Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Turbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franky Redz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Turbo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franky Redz! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turbo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Turbo keeps the fight on the outside. Redz looks to clinch and Turbo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Turbo misses with a head kick.
Redz with a poor takedown and Turbo counters with a nice uppercut. Redz with a poor takedown and Turbo moves into the clinch. Redz jumps guard but Turbo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Dave Turbo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franky Redz. Turbo can't get the takedown.
Redz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Turbo walks away with a smile on his face. Redz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Redz throws a sloppy head kick and Turbo counters by clinching up. Turbo managing to block the knees to the body from Redz.
Redz can't break the clinch.
Turbo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Redz is trying to keep an underhook but Turbo manages to get the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Turbo thows a huge punch but Redz dodges it nicely.
Turbo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turbo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Well, if Turbo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Turbo wants to work for an arm triangle but Redz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nice strikes from Turbo there. Turbo uses his free foot to push down on Redz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Redz. Turbo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Turbo with the ground and pound from mount. Redz looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turbo wants to finish this one by submission but Redz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Turbo. Turbo looking to control and managing it successfully. Turbo looking for a guillotine from mount but Redz is having none of it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Turbo controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turbo raining down hammerfists from mount. Turbo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turbo landing strikes from the mount. Redz wants to control but Turbo is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Turbo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Redz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Turbo prevents it.
Redz is looking for a takedown. Redz looking to stall.
Turbo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Redz has him pressed against the cage. Redz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Turbo blocks it with crossed arms. Turbo jumps guard.
Turbo keeping moving, preventing Redz from controlling successfully. Turbo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Redz's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redz can't keep his opponent in guard - Turbo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Redz is breathing heavily. Well, if Turbo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Turbo working the head and body with strikes. Turbo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Redz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Turbo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Turbo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Turbo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Redz has hold of Turbo's hands but Turbo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turbo slows the pace down in half guard. Turbo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Redz is in trouble now - Turbo has advanced to mount! Turbo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Turbo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee warns Redz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Turbo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. BOOM! Turbo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Redz is rocked! Turbo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Redz manages to avoid the submission attempt. Redz is still in real trouble! Can Turbo finish him?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turbo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Turbo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Redz, who protects the arm well. Turbo working the body and head with strikes. Turbo lands a nice forearm strike. Turbo taking a breather here. A big shot lands for Turbo! That's hurt Redz! Will he recover? Turbo fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Turbo!
