The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarco ducks under a wild hook from Mazzarri.
Zarco throws a fast counter high kick but Mazzarri manages to duck under it in time.
Zarco throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mazzarri stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Zarco.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mazzarri trying to control the position from guard on top but Zarco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Zarco manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mazzarri manages to get himself to full guard.
Mazzarri controls Zarco momentarily but Zarco frees himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Zarco tries to free his leg and advance position but Mazzarri is retaining full guard.

Zarco stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Mazzarri has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Zarco manages to get his head free but now Mazzarri has transitioned to an armbar! Zarco grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Mazzarri! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
