The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcantara misses with a body shot
and Galvao counters with a stiff right hand.
Galvao lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alcantara backs up against the cage.
It looks like Ruben Alcantara has been cut.
Galvao shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Galvao was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Galvao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alcantara keeps working.

Alcantara avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Galvao.
Alcantara on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alcantara tries to get out of the position.
Galvao tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Galvao has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Alcantara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galvao on the ground.
Galvao working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alcantara gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Galvao wants to free his trapped foot but Alcantara is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Galvao wants to take a breather but Alcantara is having none of it.
Galvao maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Alcantara could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Galvao has cracked it and Alcantara is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Galvao!
