Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Finkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kermit Earlandson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earlandson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by the theme from titanic. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ray Finkle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kermit Earlandson! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finkle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Earlandson. Earlandson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Finkle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Earlandson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Finkle as he jumps to the side. Finkle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Finkle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ray Finkle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kermit Earlandson. Earlandson slips a straight right by Finkle. Earlandson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Finkle tries to avoid it but Earlandson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Finkle to the ground. Finkle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Earlandson takes one to the chin there. Earlandson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Finkle sprawls well initially but Earlandson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Earlandson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Finkle sees it coming and defends easily. Earlandson is looking for a kimura but Finkle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Earlandson to get the leverage. Finkle is doing well to control the position and prevent Earlandson from advancing to side control. Earlandson is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Earlandson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Earlandson throws a right hand that Finkle ducks under and follows up with a left that Finkle also avoids with ease. Earlandson dives in and scores a takedown into Finkle's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Earlandson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Finkle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Earlandson, into his guard.
Finkle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Finkle trying to control but Earlandson is working from the bottom. Finkle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Earlandson looking for a guillotine here but Finkle defends easily.
Finkle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Earlandson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Finkle has managed to get both his arms back between Earlandson's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Earlandson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Finkle wants to control from the top but Earlandson keeps moving. Earlandson keeping full guard, as Finkle tries to pass. Finkle is working Earlandson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Earlandson keeping moving, preventing Finkle from controlling successfully. Earlandson working for submissions but it's allowed Finkle to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Finkle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ray Finkle will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Finkle moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Earlandson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Finkle circles away. Earlandson goes for a double leg but Finkle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Finkle continues to drive forward. No luck for Earlandson with that takedown attempt. Finkle scores with a hook to the body. Earlandson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left lands for Earlandson. Earlandson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Finkle but Finkle pushes him off and we're back to square one. Finkle stuffs the takedown attempt from Earlandson. Earlandson gets slowly back to his feet. Earlandson is breathing heavily. Earlandson moves out of range as Finkle strikes. Finkle misses with a two punch combination.
Earlandson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Finkle defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Earlandson. Earlandson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Finkle is fending him off so far but Earlandson persists. Nope, Finkle circles away and we're back to standing. Finkle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ray Finkle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Finkle pushes Earlandson up against the cage in a clinch. Finkle lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Earlandson is trying to push Finkle away but Finkle has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Earlandson managing to block the knees to the body from Finkle.

A looping hook to the body misses from Finkle. Earlandson does a little dance to reset his feet. The fighters circling - Finkle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Finkle connects with a leg kick. Earlandson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Earlandson dives in and grabs Finkle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Finkle pushes down on Earlandson's head and hops out. Kermit Earlandson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Finkle dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Earlandson. That did some damage! Earlandson is looking to chop away at Finkle's legs. Finkle looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Finkle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Finkle throws a lazy right hand but Earlandson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Finkle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Earlandson can do to turn this around? And that's the end of the fight! Ray Finkle showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Finkle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
