Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yves Jabouin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armis comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat Theme. Jabouin has chosen Trobule On My Mind- Pusha T and Tyler The Creator as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Armis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yves Jabouin!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabouin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Armis.
Jabouin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Armis fails with the takedown.
Jabouin appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Armis goes for a double leg but Jabouin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jabouin continues to drive forward.
We've been informed that Jabouin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jabouin leaves Armis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Armis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jabouin throws a body punch but Armis moves out of range.
Armis tries to counter with a takedown but Jabouin is quick to defend against it.

Armis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jabouin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Armis misses the jab.
Jabouin lands a nice looking body shot.
Jabouin misses with a right hand
and Armis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A head kick by Jabouin misses
and Armis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jabouin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Armis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Armis wants to work for an arm triangle but Jabouin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Armis lands strikes from half guard.

Armis is trying to control the action in half guard but Jabouin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Well, if Armis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jabouin is looking to control Armis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jabouin avoid being mounted?

Armis is looking for a kimura but Jabouin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Armis to get the leverage.

Armis seems to be working for a kimura but Jabouin defends the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Armis with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Jabouin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Armis is looking to advance position but Jabouin won't allow it.
Jabouin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Armis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eli Armis will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jabouin misses with a straight left.
Armis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Armis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jabouin struggling a bit here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Armis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jabouin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Armis has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jabouin defend it? Armis steps over the head and cranks it - Jabouin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Armis!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eli Armis!
Eli Armis seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
