Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Inci Yarakos!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yarakos shoots for a takedown but McDermott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yarakos clinches.
McDermott presses Yarakos against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
McDermott stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McDermott dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
McDermott stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Yarakos tries to throw a body punch but McDermott avoids it by throwing Yarakos back against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yarakos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McDermott scores with a shoulder strike.
McDermott presses Yarakos against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDermott lands a left hand.
A nice left hand lands by McDermott .

McDermott lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Yarakos backwards.
Yarakos tries to circle away but McDermott has him pinned against the cage.
McDermott lands a body shot in the clinch.
Yarakos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McDermott lands an uppercut.
McDermott lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Yarakos drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McDermott gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McDermott working some nice short punches in the clinch.
McDermott scores with an uppercut up the middle.
McDermott makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Yarakos is rocked!
McDermott scores with a hook to the body.
Yarakos is still on wobbly legs! Can McDermott finish him?
Yarakos looks winded!
Yarakos tries to pull guard but McDermott won't allow it.
PJ McDermott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Inci Yarakos.
McDermott lands a shoulder strike.
McDermott creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Yarakos with a big uppercut! Yarakos tries to clinch up but McDermott pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Yarakos to the mat! Yarakos covers up and McDermott unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
