Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vince Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Jordan counter with a right hand.
Dixon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dixon let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Dixon thows a leg kick but Jordan checks it
and Jordan counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut.
Dixon scores with a three punch combo!
Dixon misses with the combination.
Dixon cracks Jordan with a good jab.
Dixon takes a swing at Jordan's ribcage but misses.
Dixon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vince Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jordan tries a head kick but it misses.
Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but Jordan is just out of range.
Dixon scores with a hook to the body. Jordan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dixon misses with a shot to the body
and Jordan counters with a nice uppercut.
Jordan misses with a looping left.
Dixon tries a quick counter leg kick but Jordan is wise to it.
Dixon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dixon looks to land a left hand but Jordan moved out of range nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dixon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jordan.
Dixon misses the shot to the body.

Jordan rushes Dixon and presses him up against the cage.
Jordan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jordan lands a shot to the body.
Dixon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jordan.
Jordan blocks a body shot from Dixon.
Jordan misses with a punch to the body.
Dixon missing with knees to the body.
I was talking to Jordan's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jordan effectively controlling the action here.
A shot in the inside from Jordan.
Jordan tries to work over Dixon's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Dixon is pushing Jordan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Jordan taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Dixon lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dixon not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dixon missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jordan won't allow Dixon to pass to mount.
Dixon is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jordan reverses the position - he's now on top in Dixon's guard.
Dixon being controlled here, momentarily.
Jordan wants to stand but Dixon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jordan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dixon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jordan is defending well. Dixon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jordan has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dixon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
