Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Opuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brad Opuss!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opuss avoids the body shot from Jacobs.

Opuss changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Check out the look on Opuss's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Opuss working the strikes but Jacobs uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Opuss throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee asks Jacobs politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jacobs prefers to stall for the moment though.

Jacobs is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Jacobs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Opuss is just riding it out for now. Jacobs eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
