Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Your Fear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Rockford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockford has chosen Click Click Boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Hank Rockford has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Your Fear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Rockford!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rockford.

Fear closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fear lands in his opponent's guard.
Rockford looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Fear drops back looking for a leg! Rockford is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rockford manages to kick Fear off! Fear jumps back into Rockford's guard.
Rockford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fear looking to sit in guard and control but Rockford gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fear manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rockford manages to get himself to full guard.
Rockford seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

and Rockford counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Fear is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rockford avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fear.
Rockford tries to roll over but Fear keeps him under control.
Fear is pressing down on Rockford's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rockford is holding on for now.
Rockford is trying to get back to full guard.
Fear thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rockford's head.
Rockford throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Fear scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rockford stalks Fear and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fear's face. Fear staggers backwards, shaken.
Your Fear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rockford scores with a body shot.
Fear with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rockford connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fear really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rockford tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fear paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fear blocks a head kick by Rockford.
Rockford misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rockford ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fear takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Fear has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rockford avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fear breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rockford closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Hank Rockford will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fear has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fear wants to get back to his feet but Rockford is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fear is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's time! Fear's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Fear throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fear shoots in but Rockford avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fear takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fear thows a body shot but no joy.

Rockford shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Fear wants to control but Rockford is having none of it.
Rockford lands a big shot there that rocks Fear but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fear is looking to get to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fear tries to lock up and control but Rockford gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Fear is trying to escape the mount.
Fear is squirming around, avoiding Rockford's attempts to control the action.
Fear slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Fear won't allow Rockford to pass to mount.
Rockford wants to control but Fear is keeping him busy.

Rockford has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fear is wriggling around trying to escape.

Fear regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rockford is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Fear is trying to keep Rockford in close.

Fear seems keen to control Rockford's posture.
Fear is trying to control the position from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Hank Rockford.
Well Rockford has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
