Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Yakovlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rodenbucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yakovlev comes to the cage accompanied by Maroon 5 - Sugar. Rodenbucher has chosen Aenima as his entrance music. Tony Rodenbucher told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Yakovlev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Rodenbucher! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodenbucher shoots in looking for a takedown but Yakovlev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodenbucher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rodenbucher fails to land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Yakovlev. Those never looked like landing. Rodenbucher has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Good exchange - Yakovlev coming out on top. Rodenbucher lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rodenbucher.
It looks like Alexander Yakovlev has been cut. Rodenbucher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yakovlev manages to avoid it. Yakovlev throwing a counter right hand but Rodenbucher manages to avoid it. Rodenbucher misses with an uppercut. Yakovlev saw that one coming. Rodenbucher loads up on a big right hand but Yakovlev slips the punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oooh a lovely combination from Yakovlev sends Rodenbucher down but not out. Yakovlev dives into side control looking to finish.
Rodenbucher is rocked! Rodenbucher is pushing Yakovlev's head away, looking to escape. Yakovlev manages to hold on to the position though. Rodenbucher is still in real trouble! Can Yakovlev finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodenbucher seems to have recovered his senses. Rodenbucher throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Rodenbucher's coach down at Reddit Heroes was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rodenbucher's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodenbucher throws a nice looking combination but Yakovlev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rodenbucher takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A punch combination from Rodenbucher misses. A punch combination from Yakovlev misses. Rodenbucher looks to clinch enabling Yakovlev to counter with a crisp jab. Yakovlev takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rodenbucher throws a shot from downtown. Yakovlev moves away and avoids it. Rodenbucher throws a big shot that misses. Yakovlev slips a jab and a cross from Rodenbucher.
Rodenbucher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yakovlev.
Yakovlev misses with a few strikes there.
Rodenbucher misses with a double jab.

Yakovlev throws a jab but it's blocked by Rodenbucher. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rodenbucher! But no joy. We've been told by Yakovlev's head coaches at LOD: Stockton Cardio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Yakovlev bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rodenbucher's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yakovlev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rodenbucher manages to avoid it. A punch lands to the side of Yakovlev 's head but he takes it in his stride. Yakovlev lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rodenbucher backs up against the cage.

Rodenbucher dives in and grabs Yakovlev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yakovlev pushes down on Rodenbucher's head and hops out. A punch lands to the side of Rodenbucher 's head but he takes it in his stride. Rodenbucher misses with a body punch
and Yakovlev scores with a counter punch that sends Rodenbucher to the canvas! Yakovlev smells blood - he's punishing Rodenbucher with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Rodenbucher has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Yakovlev! After the big win, Alexander Yakovlev made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Mohito Fightwear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
