Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leno Maycon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Medeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maycon comes to the ring accompanied by Os Caras do Momento. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rodrigo Medeiros was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maycon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Medeiros sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maycon somewhat.
Maycon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Medeiros back to the ropes. Maycon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Medeiros tries a head kick but it misses.

Medeiros gets caught flat footed, as Maycon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Maycon throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maycon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Medeiros works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Maycon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Maycon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Medeiros tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Maycon manages to move to mount!
Medeiros takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Maycon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Medeiros is looking to escape.

Maycon is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Medeiros goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Maycon!
