Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taite Abrams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clinton West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Taite Abrams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clinton West!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrams misses with a head kick.
West throws a body kick that misses.
Abrams throws a body kick that misses.
Abrams blocks a low kick nicely.
Abrams instigates a clinch.
Abrams wants to stall.
West manages to pull guard.
West pulls Abrams in close to his closed guard and prevents Abrams from doing any damage or advancing position.
West keeping moving, preventing Abrams from controlling successfully.
Abrams throwing strikes from guard but West blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Abrams wants to stand but West is controlling his posture from full guard.
West is looking for a triangle but Abrams pushes his legs off easily.
West controls Abrams momentarily but Abrams frees himself.

West is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Abrams is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
West had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Abrams defends it easily.
Abrams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
West looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Abrams passes into side control.
Abrams lands a nice forearm strike.
Abrams in side control, throwing shots but West defends.
Abrams trying to control the position but West is working away.
Abrams postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Abrams decides to stand back up. Abrams steps back and let's West get back to his feet.
Abrams cracks West with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
West takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Taite Abrams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Abrams avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abrams thuds a left hand into West's body.
Abrams tries a head kick but it misses.
West shoots for a double leg takedown but Abrams sprawls well. He's pushed West's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Abrams just misses with a punch to the body.
West tries for a takedown but Abrams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Taite Abrams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clinton West.
West moves into the clinch.
Abrams lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Clinton West has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
West is trying to pull guard but Abrams has him pressed against the ropes.
West is looking for a takedown.
West takes an elbow to the temple.
West fails to pull guard.
Abrams lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Abrams lands a damaging elbow.
West lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Abrams backwards.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Abrams lands with a light punch inside.
That has opened up Clinton West's cut even more.
West looks winded!

West takes a shot to the head.

A head punch blocked on the inside by West.
West has Abrams pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Abrams manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Abrams.
Abrams lands a nice elbow.
West takes an elbow to the forehead.
Abrams drops West onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! West is propped up by the ropes and works his way back to his feet!
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Abrams finish him?
The cut above Clinton West's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Abrams lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
West has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Abrams seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if West can turn it around.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Abrams goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Abrams misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from West.
West tries to score a body lock takedown but Abrams shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Abrams lands with a left to the head.
Abrams just leaning against West, taking a breather.
West seems to have recovered his senses.
Abrams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of West backwards.

West tries for a takedown but Abrams manages to get underhooks.

Abrams lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt West or not.
Abrams creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through West's defenses.
Clinton West's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Abrams lands a right hand that snaps the head of West backwards.
Abrams doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

West is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Abrams is defending well.
Abrams lands an elbow that stopped West in his tracks for a moment.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Clinton West's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Taite Abrams!
An out of breath Taite Abrams thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
