Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Small has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Small!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury misses with a takedown attempt
and Small cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fury shoots in and drives through. Small sprawls well.
Small scores with a body shot.
Small keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Small punishes Fury's body with a nice straight punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Small counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fury manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Small on his heels. He'll look to pass Small's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Small looking for subs off his back but Fury has passed one foot through into half guard.
Small wants to control but Fury is keeping busy.
Fury wants to pass to mount but Small is defending the position.
Small is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Small has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fury is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fury thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fury definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Fury keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Small's head.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fury.
Small is looking for a sweep.

Fury will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Small manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Fury is looking to take a break and control but Small is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Small is doing well to control the position and prevent Fury from advancing to side control.
Small tries to get to full guard but Fury has control of the leg.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Small is on top in guard.

Fury on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fury tries to get out of the position.

Small trying to control the position from guard on top but Fury is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fury has his hands on Small's head, controlling the position.
Small wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.
Small is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Small tries to free his leg and advance position but Fury is retaining full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fury really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Small is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fury is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fury has escaped and now he's on top!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Small keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fury will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Small doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Small uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fury has time to react.

Fury closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fury lands in his opponent's guard.

Small has his foot on Fury's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fury works his way back into a safe position though.
Fury has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Small has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Fury should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Small has tightened it up now! Fury should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Dan Small decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
