Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jemmy Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hoerkund The Golem!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean has his takedown stuffed
and The Golem counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Jemmy Dean has been cut.
The Golem swings widly with a right hand
and Dean counters with a single leg into guard. The Golem didn't expect that.
Dean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Golem swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Golem works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The Golem is looking to sweep but instead, Dean has passed into half guard.
The Golem wants to improve his position but Dean is controlling well.
The Golem wants to control but Dean is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dean not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Golem can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dean throwing shots but The Golem is blocking nicely.

Dean is looking to take a break and control but The Golem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dean scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Dean has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dean avoids the attempt from The Golem to control.
Dean looking to control but The Golem is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The Golem regains half guard.
The Golem tries to roll over but Dean keeps him under control.
Dean thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Golem's head.
Dean is taking a breather. The Golem says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dean throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

The Golem is not content to let Dean control the position.
Dean sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The Golem defending well though.
Dean is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Golem sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dean thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Golem's head.
Dean missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Dean throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The Golem is controlling Dean's trapped leg to prevent Dean from advancing to side control.
Dean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Golem with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The Golem told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dean takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dean wants to take a breather but The Golem is having none of it.
Dean is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, The Golem has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dean throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dean lands with a punch from half guard.
Dean thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dean wants to lay and pray for a moment but The Golem keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The Golem wants to improve his position but Dean is controlling well.
Dean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dean.
The Golem looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The Golem cracks Dean with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. The Golem has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dean to stand back up!
Dean is rocked!
The Golem flashes Dean a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Dean's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Dean crumples to the floor! He's out cold! The Golem punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hoerkund The Golem!
Post fight, an emotional Hoerkund The Golem said 'Guuuuuuughhhhhh . . . '.
