1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sid Sydney! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sydney doesn't manage to clinch there - Ming circles away.
Sydney stuffs the takedown. No luck for Ming with that takedown attempt. Ming avoids the head kick by Sydney.
Sydney rushes Ming and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ming really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ming has Sydney pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sydney has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ming is proving hard to escape from. Ming seems keen to control Sydney's posture. Ming will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sydney wants to pass the guard but Ming is keeping the position.

Sydney moves in looking to clinch but Ming pushes him off. Sydney with a poor takedown and Ming counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ming controlling the pace. Ming frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ming raining down shots from the mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sydney wants to hold on but Ming pushes him away. Ming takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ming scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sydney. You can see the frustration on Ming's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sydney is trying to get an arm triangle but Ming is defending well. Ming manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ming wants to control but Sydney is keeping him busy. Sydney is positioning himself well to prevent Ming advancing to mount. Sydney avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ming. Sydney should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sydney can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ming controls the pace. Ming sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sydney's guard. Sydney is looking for a sweep. Ming is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ming keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ming thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sydney's head. Sydney is staying active underneath Ming, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sydney makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ah Ming will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Sid Sydney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ming bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that's the end of the fight! Ah Ming showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ming, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
