Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cruz Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taras Matras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cruz Terry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Taras Matras! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Terry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Matras but Matras pushes him off and we're back to square one. A momentary lapse in concentration from Terry enables Matras to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Terry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Matras distracts Terry with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Matras slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Matras has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Matras is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Matras controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matras tries to free his leg and advance position but Terry is retaining full guard. Matras postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matras content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Matras is stalling in the full guard. Terry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Matras scoring with some ground and pound. Terry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Matras engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Terry keeping full guard, as Matras tries to pass. Matras content to stall in guard here. Matras slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Matras working away. Matras working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matras is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Terry has escaped the position, nice work there. Terry on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Matras looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Matras working the head with strikes. Matras tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Matras trying to control the position but Terry is working away. Terry is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terry struggling a bit here. Matras in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Terry is rocked! Matras scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Terry is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Matras can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taras Matras!
