Melkonian decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Melkonian shoots for a double leg takedown but Windam sprawls well. He's pushed Melkonian's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No joy there for Melkonian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Windam feints and then cracks Melkonian's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Melkonian down.
Melkonian shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Windam sprawls well. Windam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Melkonian gets slowly back to his feet.
