Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kron Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Holzken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kron Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodney Holzken! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Holzken.
Silva misses with a looping left. Holzken moves out of range of the strikes. Holzken gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Silva counters with a nice uppercut. Silva pushes Holzken up against the cage in a clinch. Holzken wants to take the fight to the mat but Silva manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Silva is struggling to control the position. Holzken goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.
Kron Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodney Holzken. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holzken tries to work over Silva's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Holzken goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Silva manages to break the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Silva. Holzken drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Silva defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing. Holzken is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard. Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holzken is working away from the top position though. Silva is looking for a sweep. Holzken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Holzken wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it. Holzken trying to mount his opponent but Silva defends it. Silva desperately trying to maintain half guard. Holzken is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holzken is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. Silva wants to improve his position but Holzken is controlling well.
Holzken is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Holzken wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. My spies in The Million Dollar Performance Center inform me that Holzken has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Holzken drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Holzken has Silva in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holzken has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle. Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Holzken is retaining full guard. Silva is working hard here to advance position. Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Holzken's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holzken wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Silva controlling the action here. Holzken wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holzken does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Silva moves into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva pulls guard successfully.

Holzken wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kron Silva dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva with a poor takedown enabling Holzken to counter with a crisp jab. Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holzken but Holzken pushes him off and we're back to square one. Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holzken, pushing him back against the cage. Silva manages to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva swings wildly with an uppercut but Holzken uses good head movement to avoid it. Holzken wants a takedown.
Silva gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Holzken regains guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silva scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Silva wants to control from the top but Holzken keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holzken looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Silva has picked Holzken up and slammed him! Holzken can't keep hold of the triangle and Silva manages to pass to side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva happy to just control the position for now. Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Holzken takes a body punch but keeps moving. Holzken uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva. Silva is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Holzken's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Holzken takes one on the button. Kron Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva gets the takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva looks up at the clock and then as Holzken takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Silva smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Silva is keen to just control but Holzken is a slippery customer. Silva sitting and controlling from the half guard. Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Holzken for as long as he can get away with. Kron Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to pass to mount but Holzken is defending the position. Holzken is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount! Holzken really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva breaks from Holzken's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holzken moves out of range of the strikes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holzken is defended easily by Silva. Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Holzken moves away. A nice side step and Holzken releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Holzken keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silva. Holzken moves out of range as Silva strikes. A countering left hand to the body from Holzken misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holzken ducks under a wild hook from Silva. Silva takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Silva throws out a loose jab but Holzken uses good head movement to avoid it. A little jabbing left from Holzken on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Holzken tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Holzken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Holzken pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Silva tries to bum rush Holzken with a series of wild strikes but Holzken uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Silva tries to clinch but Holzken is having none of it. Silva gets a clinch. Holzken is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. Silva pressing his opponent against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A right hand to the body from Silva.
Holzken misses with a body punch.
Silva pushes Holzken back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Rodney Holzken has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Holzken is looking to take this one to the mat. Kron Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodney Holzken. Holzken misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Holzken tries to work over Silva's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Holzken struggles to land a body shot inside as Silva controls his hands.
Holzken doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Silva tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holzken is defended easily by Silva.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Holzken enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holzken manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Silva stays in close to Holzken's body and controls the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holzken is on top in guard.
Holzken trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva pulls Holzken in to control the position. Silva wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holzken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva keeping moving, preventing Holzken from controlling successfully. Holzken is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Holzken!
And that's the end of the fight! Kron Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
