Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doom Unit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nir Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Unit kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Doom Unit - Killing Time. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sosa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Unit showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sosa.
It looked like Unit wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Unit throws a series of punches but Sosa avoids them all with ease.
Sosa throws a front kick aimed at Unit's knee but Unit avoids it well.
Sosa scoring well with a low kick there.
Unit jabs Sosa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Unit ducks under a wild hook from Sosa.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Unit darts in looking for a takedown but Sosa gets double underhooks and turns Unit into the cage.
Doom Unit is winning the standup battle so far.
Unit shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Unit takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sosa.
Unit clobbers Sosa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Unit throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Unit misses with an attempted mid kick.
Doom Unit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sosa gets caught flat footed, as Unit shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sosa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sosa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nice uppercut lands for Unit. That snapped Sosa's head back.
The crowd cheers as Unit lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sosa doesn't seem phased though.
Unit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sosa.
Sosa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Unit moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Unit moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sosa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Unit.
Unit throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sosa on the side of the head.
Sosa avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Unit smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sosa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Units jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Unit shoots for a takedown but Sosa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sosa jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Doom Unit is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Unit throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sosa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nir Sosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sosa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Doom Unit.
Well Unit has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Doom Unit rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
