Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Cureton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Plouman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Cureton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Plouman! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plouman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cureton tries to avoid it but Plouman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cureton to the ground. Cureton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cureton forces Plouman back against the cage and clinches. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Cureton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Plouman shoots in for a takedown but Cureton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cureton throws a series of punches but Plouman moves out of range. Plouman feints the counter takedown. Cureton doesn't manage to clinch there - Plouman circles away.
Cureton looks to score with a jab to the body but Plouman is just out of range. Jamie Cureton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cureton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Plouman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Plouman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Plouman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cureton trying to control the position from guard on top but Plouman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cureton advances to half guard. Cureton is trying to control. Plouman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Plouman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cureton wants to pass the guard but Plouman is keeping the position. Plouman is looking for a triangle here but Cureton uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cureton is looking to take a break and control but Plouman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cureton passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Plouman! Plouman can't escape the position.
Plouman wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cureton.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cureton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Plouman is looking to escape. Plouman is trying desperately to improve position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Plouman looking for submissions off his back. Plouman is refusing to be controlled, as Cureton sits in half guard. Cureton prevents Plouman from improving his position. Plouman is not content to let Cureton control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Cureton dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Plouman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cureton wants to control but Plouman is keeping busy and won't allow it. Plouman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cureton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Plouman. Cureton gets full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Plouman trying to control the position from guard on top but Cureton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plouman passes into half guard. Plouman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cureton defend it? Plouman steps over the head and cranks it - Cureton is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Plouman!
