Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Shirahama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bojan Vladislav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenichi Shirahama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bojan Vladislav!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shirahama misses with an uppercut
and Vladislav counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jab, jab by Shirahama - just one landing.
Shirahama misses with a lunging right hand
and Vladislav counters with a stiff right hand.
Shirahama fails to land the takedown.
Vladislav unleashes a big counter combination but Shirahama bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Vladislav moves out of range as Shirahama strikes.
A little jabbing left from Vladislav on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Shirahama scores with a jab. Vladislav acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Shirahama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vladislav, who protects the arm well.

You can see the frustration on Vladislav's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Shirahama lands a decent elbow from side control.
Vladislav takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Shirahama looks up at the clock and then as Vladislav takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shirahama smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Vladislav's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Shirahama cracks Vladislav with a big right hand but Vladislav just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Vladislav is trying to get back to half guard.
Vladislav wants to control but Shirahama postures up.
Vladislav manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Vladislav is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are battling for position here. Shirahama manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Vladislav drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shirahama dives on top into guard.

Vladislav wants to stand and escape but Shirahama is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shirahama connects with a nice short shot to Vladislav's temple.

Vladislav has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shirahama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shirahama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vladislav keeps working.
Shirahama is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vladislav can do to turn this around?

Vladislav wants to control but Shirahama is keeping busy.

Vladislav is still in real trouble! Can Shirahama finish him?

Shirahama lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Vladislav quite badly. Vladislav pulls Shirahama in close trying to recover. Shirahama postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Vladislav on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Vladislav doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenichi Shirahama!
