Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rami Kottari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Hearns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hearns has chosen Black Eyed Bruiser as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Thomas Hearns was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rami Kottari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Hearns! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hearns fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Hearns lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Hearns lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Nice shot lands for Hearns. Hearns connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kottari's hands. Hearns throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Hearns lands with a cross.
It looks like Rami Kottari has been cut. Hearns gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hearns avoiding damage.
A knee to the head by Hearns.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hearns lands an elbow inside. Kottari blocks an elbow strike from Hearns.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hearns as Kottari tries to tie him up. Hearns stalling against the cage.

Hearns lands an elbow inside that Kottari shrugs off. Hearns holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hearns has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kottari seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Hearns can turn it around. Kottari goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hearns prevents it.
Kottari gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hearns manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kottari keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Hearns lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kottari backwards.
Rami Kottari's cut is getting worse. Hearns lands an elbow inside that Kottari shrugs off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hearns is pushing Kottari up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Kottari has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hearns pressing his opponent against the cage. Kottari is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hearns can't fight it off and eventually Kottari manages to take the fight to the floor. Hearns looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kottari lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hearns is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kottari is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kottari showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kottari trying to control but Hearns is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kottari working some strikes from top position. Kottari tries to free his leg and advance position but Hearns is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kottari seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hearns preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kottari looking to sit in guard and control but Hearns gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hearns not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hearns looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kottari is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kottari trying to control but Hearns is working from the bottom. Kottari has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hearns keeping full guard, as Kottari tries to pass. Kottari lands a couple of digs. Kottari lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kottari throws a strike but Hearns rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hearns is fighting to break Kottari's control of his arms but Kottari is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hearns wants to control from the top but Kottari keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Hearns dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rami Kottari's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kottari throws a poor cross that misses
and Hearns counters with a three punch combo that has Kottari backing up. Kottari nods at Hearns to acknowledge the strikes. Nice defenses there by Hearns. Hearns connects with the punch.
Rami Kottari's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. A swing and a miss from Kottari. Hearns has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kottari misses with a straight left. Hearns has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kottari closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kottari walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Thomas Hearns seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hearns defending well as Kottari loads up on a big left hand. A swing and a miss from Kottari. Kottari misses the shot to the body. Hearns pushes Kottari up against the cage in a clinch. Hearns using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kottari has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head punch blocked on the inside by Kottari. Hearns lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Jeez, Rami Kottari's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Hearns stalling in the clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rami Kottari's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
