Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devon Gilliam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Feline! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Feline is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gilliam sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Feline drives through with a takedown into guard. Feline wants to control from the top but Gilliam keeps moving. Gilliam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Feline on the ground. Gilliam utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gilliam on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gilliam tries to get out of the position. Gilliam working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Feline. Feline postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gilliam preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Feline trying to control but Gilliam is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Feline lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Feline throwing strikes from guard but Gilliam blocks nicely. Feline with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Feline shoots in and drives through. Gilliam sprawls well. We've been informed that Feline has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Feline throws a sloppy head kick and Gilliam moves out of range easily. Feline lands a head kick!
Feline has a takedown stuffed. Gilliam attempts a counter takedown but Feline avoids it well and moves away. Devon Gilliam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Feline.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Feline. Gilliam gets a takedown into half guard. Feline is staying active underneath Gilliam, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nice strikes from Gilliam there. Feline trying to hold on to Gilliam's head to control him but Gilliam postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Feline has hold of Gilliam's hands but Gilliam slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Gilliam thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Feline is trying to stand.
Gilliam is taking a breather. Feline says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Feline trying to control from the bottom.
Feline is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Gilliam is staying active. Gilliam working the head and body with strikes. Feline is controlling Gilliam's trapped leg to prevent Gilliam from advancing to side control. Feline is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gilliam scores with a couple of nice shots. That's four minutes gone in the round. Gilliam takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Feline is trying to maintain the position but Gilliam is very close to passing his half guard. Gilliam landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gilliam lands strikes from half guard. Feline is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Feline on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gilliam not landing any meaningful shots this time. Feline is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gilliam's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gilliam's back! That was a close round but I would say that Devon Gilliam will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gilliam wants it to stay on the feet. Gilliam is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Feline has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gilliam is looking to defend but Feline has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gilliam! Feline pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gilliam taps out and this one is all over!
