And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaspar Van Clausen!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heilgeist circles away from the clinch attempt.
Heilgeist is looking to counter the offense by Van Clausen and move into the clinch.
Heilgeist throws a right and a left that both miss.
Heilgeist tries to bum rush Van Clausen with a series of wild strikes but Van Clausen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Left hook, right uppercut from Heilgeist.
Heilgeist swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Van Clausen is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Heilgeist really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Heilgeist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've been hearing reports that Heilgeist has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Van Clausen tries to hold on but Heilgeist pushes him away.
Heilgeist will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Van Clausen is trying desperately to improve position.
Heilgeist lands a big shot there that rocks Van Clausen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Heilgeist with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Van Clausen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Heilgeist unloads with some shots from mount but Van Clausen bucks and avoids them well.
Van Clausen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Heilgeist lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Van Clausen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Heilgeist looking to ground and pound but Van Clausen is blocking nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Heilgeist postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Van Clausen in real trouble here! The ref calls for Van Clausen to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Heilgeist!
Brian Heilgeist made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I don't do this for the fans. I do this for myself. If you enjoy it so be it. Give me another ass to kick. That is all I ask.'.
The defeated Jaspar Van Clausen had this to say: 'I thank everyone for coming to watch tonight, my foe was just better, but it was a good fight and am going to learn from this and come back stronger.'.
