Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Mc Donnagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romero Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Jimmy Mc Donnagh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Mc Donnagh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Romero Gracie! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mc Donnagh is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mc Donnagh is breathing heavily. Mc Donnagh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gracie thows a huge punch but Mc Donnagh dodges it nicely.
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gracie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gracie scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mc Donnagh tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mc Donnagh to the ground. Mc Donnagh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gracie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mc Donnagh defends well and Gracie ends up having to push Mc Donnagh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mc Donnagh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gracie working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mc Donnagh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mc Donnagh is keeping the position for now. Gracie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gracie looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mc Donnagh! Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Mc Donnagh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gracie is chipping away with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to advance to mount but Mc Donnagh denies him. Mc Donnagh is trying to escape the position but Gracie is controlling the position. Mc Donnagh taking punishment in the form of punches.
Gracie tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Gracie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mc Donnagh some visible discomfort.
Mc Donnagh dodges the ground and pound from Gracie. Mc Donnagh takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie is putting a hurting on Mc Donnagh here, landing some big shots from side control. Gracie content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Gracie is chipping away with strikes.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie fails with the takedown. Jimmy Mc Donnagh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romero Gracie. Gracie fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Mc Donnagh was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Romero Gracie dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Mc Donnagh.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into Mc Donnagh's guard. Mc Donnagh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gracie scoring with punches to the head and body. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mc Donnagh has momentary wrist control but Gracie slips an elbow through the middle. Gracie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Mc Donnagh's brow.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gracie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie slips a nice elbow through Mc Donnagh's hands, connecting with Mc Donnagh's forehead. Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Mc Donnagh's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mc Donnagh is rocked! Gracie is looking to advance position but Mc Donnagh won't allow it. Oh Mc Donnagh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Gracie landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gracie is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mc Donnagh is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gracie fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mc Donnagh from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gracie! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Romero Gracie! An out of breath Romero Gracie thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
