Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brett Harrison Wells!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wells pinned against the cage. Wells gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A cross from Wells lands.
Wells throws a solid leg kick but Hall takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wells.
Hall half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Wells.
Hall moves away from the strike by Wells.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wells swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hall counters with a takedown into side control.
Wells on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Hall misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wells takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hall lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hall fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Wells is looking for a sweep.

Wells is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Check out the look on Hall's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Hall has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wells is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hall yanks on the arm and Wells is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hall.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bobby Hall!
