Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Wall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Raul Lorenzo! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lorenzo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wall avoids it really well and circles away. Wall drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lorenzo sprawls and moves away. Lorenzo shoots in looking for a takedown but Wall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lorenzo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wall tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lorenzo manages to circle out of the way. Lorenzo misses with a takedown and Wall counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kyle Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Lorenzo. Wall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lorenzo's efforts to push away. A right hand to the body from Wall.
Lorenzo looks winded! Wall lands a nice shot to the body. Wall breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wall drives through and clinches with Lorenzo against the cage.
Wall really is a fat lump. Wall manages to break the clinch.
Wall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lorenzo to the mat! Lorenzo manages to get full guard. Wall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lorenzo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wall has managed to get both his arms back between Lorenzo's legs - danger averted. Lorenzo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wall works over Lorenzo with some ground and pound from guard. Wall cracks Lorenzo with a solid left hand. Wall working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wall is in close to Lorenzo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wall arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lorenzo's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kyle Wall!
