The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plouman Jnr stuffs the takedown. Plouman Jnr changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Phillips. Phillips thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Phillips will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Plouman Jnr tries to improve position but can't.
