The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a big shot that misses.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
Yamato's hands are dropping dangerously low here and King connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Yamato scrambles back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamato takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Yamato shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Yamato finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Yamato is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work.

Yamato is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Yamato eventually gives up the hold.
King's coaches at THE GYM (20 Elite coaches on the Island !!!) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
King has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yamato is working away from the top position though.
