PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Chalidow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chalidow comes to the ring accompanied by Martin Garrix - Proxy. Materla comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sobota - Do góry łeb kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Materla fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chalidow to the ground. Materla is now in Chalidow's guard.

Chalidow has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Materla is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chalidow.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Materla is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Chalidow has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Materla has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Chalidow taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Materla doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Michal Materla decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
