Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiyato Nakamara ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kahwaah Jeeri! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamara closes the distance and clinches. Jeeri lands with a light punch inside. Nakamara misses with a knee strike.
The referee is keeping an eye on Jeeri - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Nakamara can't find room to land a body shot as Jeeri controls the action.
Jeeri lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nakamara or not. Jeeri lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Jeeri lands a body punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jeeri blocks a body shot from Nakamara . Nakamara is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Jeeri working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamara tries to throw a body punch but Jeeri avoids it by throwing Nakamara back against the cage. Jeeri is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nakamara can't fight it off and eventually Jeeri manages to take the fight to the floor. Nakamara looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jeeri controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jeeri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamara swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakamara trying to control the position.
Nakamara is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jeeri is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jeeri looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Nakamara bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jeeri's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jeeri keeping moving, preventing Nakamara from controlling successfully. Jeeri has control of Nakamara 's left arm, preventing Nakamara from doing any damage. Jeeri wants to sweep but no luck. Jeeri is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Jeeri's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamara preventing the sweep. Jeeri controlling the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jeeri keeps the fight on the outside. Nakamara throws a body punch but Jeeri moves out of range. Jeeri wants to slow Nakamara down by chopping away at his legs. Nakamara shoots in looking for a takedown. Jeeri tries to sprawl out of it but Nakamara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jeeri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jeeri tries to counter with a clinch but Nakamara shakes him off and moves away. Jeeri lands a high kick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeeri connects with a jab. Jeeri fails with a takedown attempt. Nakamara tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jeeri manages to circle out of the way. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nakamara . Nakamara sets himself, and Jeeri steps forward looking for the clinch! Nakamara avoids it this time. Nakamara walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A combination from Jeeri does no damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jeeri misses with a few strikes there.
Nakamara drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jeeri sprawls and moves away. Jeeri connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Nakamara shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kahwaah Jeeri dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Nakamara shoots in looking for a takedown but Jeeri manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nakamara 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nakamara is defended easily by Jeeri. Jeeri lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Jeeri scores with a nice strike. Nakamara takes the fight into the clinch. Jeeri blocks an elbow strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamara just leaning against Jeeri, taking a breather. Jeeri blocks the elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamara tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jeeri prevents a body shot from Nakamara . Jeeri has clasped his hands together around Nakamara 's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Nakamara wants to get back to his feet. Nakamara can't do much from the bottom here. Nakamara is pushing Jeeri's head away, looking to escape. Jeeri manages to hold on to the position though. The referee asks Jeeri politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jeeri prefers to stall for the moment though. Jeeri tries to move to mount but Nakamara blocks the move with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Jeeri working away. Jeeri advances to full mount. Jeeri controlling the position easily from mount. Jeeri avoids the attempt from Nakamara to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamara is working to get back to half guard.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kahwaah Jeeri has got the better of the ground game so far. Nakamara tries to lock up and control but Jeeri gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jeeri sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nakamara keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jeeri sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jeeri has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nakamara is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kahwaah Jeeri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jeeri scores with a takedown into Nakamara 's guard. Jeeri stays in close to Nakamara 's body and controls the position. Nakamara can't keep his opponent in guard - Jeeri advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jeeri controlling the pace. Jeeri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakamara swivels though and keeps the full guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kahwaah Jeeri is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nakamara wants to stand up but Jeeri is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jeeri connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nakamara is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nakamara or perhaps it was just good defense by Jeeri, which made it look bad. Jeeri moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Jeeri scores with a nice right hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jeeri tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jeeri effectively controlling the action here. Nakamara is stalling here.
Nakamara lands an elbow inside that Jeeri shrugs off. Jeeri gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nakamara wants to control but Jeeri is keeping busy.
Well, if Jeeri is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeeri wants to free his trapped foot but Nakamara is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nakamara tries to kick Jeeri off but Jeeri keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jeeri is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Jeeri controlling from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hiyato Nakamara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nakamara is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kahwaah Jeeri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jeeri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
